The Village of Liberty Municipal Building was constructed in 1938 (below). The Art Deco exterior was restored in 2003 with a grant from the Sullivan County Planning Division. It is one of 127 buildings located in the Downtown Civic and Commercial Historic District, which in 2006 was listed on both the New York State and the National Registers of Historic Places.
